Adobe “Shasta”

Full admission: one of the most fun parts of our jobs is getting to have a sneak peek to new tech that is being created. And Project Shasta is another one that we literally exclaimed "that is so cool!" during an initial briefing. After the hard working team that has been imagining and bringing this baby to fruition pulled back the curtain to show us how this all works, we got to work creating a style that fit the content, audience, and overall message, while also working with the team to make sure that we had a super clean and dialed in voiceover script. We landed on an approach that combines photographic imagery and fluid illustration, a bit different than a lot of work created at Very True Story, and this was a fun opportunity to flex some creativity and thought processes, while staying true to the intention of the piece. We slid pretty seamlessly into animation, making sure that our world felt alive, and all elements felt connected in what could read as a disconnected content.
